Toothed Rack Pistons: This construction type uses toothed rack pistons that engage with a transversally mounted sprocket. It is a relatively simple design but requires more space. It is capable of achieving up to 2 x 360° pivoting angles, offering a large torque output. The pressure range for this type of swivel motor is up to 200 bar.
Rotor Swivel Motors: Rotor swivel motors generate torque by allowing hydraulic fluid through a rotating wing that is connected to the drive shaft. This design offers a very compact form factor and can achieve a pivoting angle range of approximately 310° (or around 110° if equipped with two rotating wings). Rotor swivel motors are suitable for applications with moderate moments and can operate within a pressure range of up to 200 bar.

These different construction types provide options for achieving turning movements within limited angles in hydraulic systems. Choosing the appropriate swivel motor depends on factors such as space availability, required torque, desired pivoting angle range, and operating pressure.
