Cold Drawing Process: The cold drawing process involves pulling a seamless tube through a die at room temperature to reduce its diameter and improve its dimensional accuracy. This process enhances the tubes mechanical properties, including its tensile strength, surface finish, and overall precision.
Cold Drawn Honed Tube
Dimensional Accuracy: Cold drawn honed tubes are manufactured with tight dimensional tolerances to ensure proper fit and compatibility with cylinder components. The inner diameter, outer diameter, wall thickness, and length of the tube are carefully controlled to meet specific application requirements.
Surface Finish and Protection: The honing process gives cold drawn honed tubes a smooth and uniform surface finish. Depending on the application and environmental conditions, additional surface treatments may be applied to enhance corrosion resistance. Common options include coatings, such as chrome plating or zinc plating, to provide a protective barrier against rust and corrosion.
